Blessed are you whose delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law you habitually meditate by day and by night. You shall be like a tree firmly planted by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade and wither, but everything you do shall prosper and come to maturity (Psalm 1:1-3).
Only let speech that is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others come forth from your lips, that it may be a blessing and give grace to those who hear it (Ephesians 4:29). Speak life to those God sends to you. Give them His love that heals and encourages. Consider the weak and the poor; and the Lord will deliver you in the time of evil and trouble (Psalm 41:1). Strengthen those who are weak because of sin; and those who are poor in spirit from things that have happened to them. Lift them up. Point them back to God. Help them to stand back up and to live as His children.
Whatever gifts and talents God gives you, use them for the lifting and encouraging of others. Bless others. Whatever your hand can find to do, do it all for His glory and to the service of others. This will draw them to Him, which is His greatest desire for all people - reconciliation with Him (I Peter 4:10).
Let everything you do be done in love (I Corinthians 16:14). For Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Love is an excellent thing and a very great blessing, indeed. It makes every difficulty easy. It bears a burden without being weighted, and renders sweet all that is bitter. Love knows no limits, feels no burden, thinks nothing of troubles, attempts more than it is able, because it believes that it may and can do all things;
for this reason it is able to do all,
performing much where he who does not love fails and falls.
Love is watchful. Like a living flame, a burning torch, it tends upward and passes unharmed through every obstacle. Whatever faults may be committed, big or small, whatever clouds may pile up on the horizon, dark and threatening, love will overcome all ( I Corinthians 13 paraphrased as in 'The Story of the Trapp Family).
For you are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do (Ephesians 2:10). And, how beautiful upon the mountains are your feet which will bring good tidings, who shall publish my peace, who shall bring good tidings of good, who shall publish My salvation, who says to Zion, Your God reigns! (Isaiah 52:7).
For God created your inmost being; He knit you together in your mother’s womb.
Praise Him because you are fearfully and wonderfully made;
His works are wonderful, and you shall know that full well (Psalm 139:13-14).
Spend time with Him and be filled with His beautiful love. As you become consumed in Him, His love will overflow from you to those around you. You'll bring glory to Him by being His hands and feet and mouth. Speak His love. Go where He tells you. Hug those who need it... or just listen! Some people simply need an ear to listen. Simply listen to Him and obey. It may be washing dishes for your tired mother...rubbing your dad's feet or massaging his back, playing a game with your child...one more time. It comes down to your time. How can you use your time to bless others and not be just thinking about yourself? How can your time be used to ease a burden of another? Serve like Jesus did while He was on earth and see lives become more beautiful!
