Be of Good Cheer

In the multitude of your anxious thoughts within you, God's comfort will cheer and delight your soul (Psalm 94:19).

fullness of joy, be glad, God is in the midst of you, set the Lord before you, delight in Him, He will answer you
A Cheerful Heart

Set the Lord continually before you; because He is at your right hand, you shall not be moved. Therefore your heart is glad and your inner self rejoices; your body too shall rest and confidently dwell in safety, For He will not abandon you to Sheol, neither will He suffer you to see corruption. He will show you the path of life; in His Presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore (Psalm 16:8-11).

Be of good cheer (take courage, be confident, certain and undaunted)! For God has overcome the world (He has deprived it of power to harm you and has conquered it for you) (John 16:36). He has put more joy and rejoicing in your heart than them who know when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly. In peace you will both lie down and sleep for the Lord alone makes you to dwell in safety and confident trust (Psalm 4:7,8).

So, bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in your mouth. Your life shall make its boast in the Lord. Seek the Lord and require Him of necessity and on the authority of His Word, and He will hear you, and deliver you from all your fears. Look to Him and you will be radiant with joy; your face will never be ashamed (Psalm 34:1-5).

You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thoughts, and actions. You have hated lawlessness. Therefore, God has anointed you with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond your companions (Hebrews 1:9). And, the joy of the Lord shall be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

In the day when you call Him, He will answer you: and He will strengthen you with strength in your inner self (Psalm 138:3). For as you wait for the Lord you shall change and renew your strength and power; you shall lift up your wings and mount up close to God as eagles mount up close to the sun. You shall run and not be weary, you shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). The Lord is your Strength and Shield; you heart shall trust in, rely on, and confidently lean on Him and you will be helped; therefore your heart greatly rejoices and with your song will you praise Him (Psalm 28:7).

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in silent satisfaction and in His love He will be silent and make no mention of past sins or even recall them; He exults over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). And, He gives you an ornament of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit – that you may be called an oak of righteousness (lofty, strong, magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God), the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified (Isaiah 61:3).
